“Sip-Sip-Hooray” is a wine-tasting fundraiser supporting a local non-profit, Hope’s In. Hope's In fights for the right to shelter, education, and healthcare in Zone 3 of Guatemala City.
The inhabitants of Zone 3 built their community with salvaged materials from the Guatemala City garbage dump. Here, the people of Zone 3 risk their lives daily collecting materials and recyclables often for less than $5 a day.
PilatesBody Staff, of Crystal Lake, had the opportunity to visit this community and build a home for a family in need. Feeling extremely moved by their experience with Hope’s In, they knew they needed to help. PilatesBody made a goal of raising enough funds to build a home of their own in July of 2020 for a deserving family.
Many businesses in Downtown Crystal Lake graciously donated towards “Sip-Sip-Hooray for Hope’s In”. Thank you all for your generosity.
Your attendance at this event gives a family their first home with concrete floors, indoor plumbing, and a door with lock and key; the things we too often take for granted. Thank you for your donation and participation with “Sip-Sip-Hooray”.
Tapas Capé will be hosting the event. Tickets include wine tasting and appetizers such as charcuterie plates, cheese plates, hummus and more!
